I didn't notice a thread for Comcast subscribers in South Jersey, so I decided to start one.

Anyone get the Spring 2007 guide with your latest bill and notice that we are supposed to get YES HD as a NEW! HDTV Channel? I am assuming this is the channel that carries the Yankees and Nets, plus Mike and the Mad Dog WFAN radio show. Can anyone confirm this, and is anyone receiving this channel yet? I don't see it listed anywhere above channel 200. I am hoping now we can get NESN for all the Red Sox fans in NJ!

Also, I got a flyer in the mail yesterday for 2 additional digital cable boxes free for 12 months good until June 30, 2007. I currently have one HDTV capable dual DVR box in my home, so I believe I am eligible for this offer, however the fine print says for new additional digital cable boxes. ???? This seems like a good deal to me, and as soon as I loose HBO on analog channel 2 I will take advantage of this offer for 2 of my TVs. Anyone have these free boxes yet, and any pro or cons?

Thanks,

Dave

South Jersey has a lot of fraudulent Yankee band wagon fans, plus many New Yawkers come to the shore to vaction during the summer. These are the only reasons I can see that Comcast would add the Yes Network. Plus, it does show games in HD.

would this thread include OTA HD channel lineup for Atlantic County NJ (AC, Ventnor, Margate) where can i find this info. I recently connected a new tv with ATSC/QAM tuner and picked up a ton of decimal point chans which I assume are OTA HD and want to know what they are. Where can one find this info.

Comcast is the cable provider and its in a highrise condo building so HD antenna must be on the roof (cable is free to all residents as amenity and prob part of condo fees)

anyway to use a better connection then coax without paying comcast per mo. for an HD box? Even just a converter box one could buy themself which takes the coax input and has an hdmi output to tv. it doenst have to change chans or have any other features. anything like this exist??

Hi

Picked up my 2 FREE dig boxes last week. Work great for our 2 MCE pc's. For one year I believe. Why wait ? Get the boxes, hook them up, watch HBO where ever u want.

Matter of fact, If you own a pc and don't haver tuner for it- get one. PCworks great as tv.

issues. Titantv.com is one place that I know of. Use search here and Google .com- then you won't have to wait for replies. : ) http://www.titantv.com/quickguide/quickguide.aspx

NO COMCAST-NO STB w/ coaxial - NO Monthly fees!!!!!. HDTV OTA(free) = Tuner( HDTV or EDTV w/ stb tuner or pc with Atsc tuner) +antenna + digital tv( does not have to be HD, monitors w/ DVI are perfect). Coaxial cable runs from antenna to Hdtv or tuner. This gets more complicated with DVR, maybe two more sentences : ) . This forum is perfect for a rainy day. You WILL find everything you need here, just use search and read.

BTW, being in the towers, you will not need a rooftop antenna, unless your under 30 ft from ground or facing the ocean. If you are facing the bay, put the antenna behind the table with the pitcher of margaritas on it!

Seriously, lets us know exactly what TV you have plus specs. If the Comcast coaxial is free, plug it into the NTSC female on your tv.There will b no HD from it, as Comcast scrambles there HD. Antenna coaxial will be plugged into ATSC female. Good luck!

Was reading -found this- Under FAQ, they speak clearly and authoratively on antennas in condos. tells you channels also. Let me know what you get. Big difference between absecon and EHT http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/welcome.aspx
