Sparkies with Samsung 165

Got my Sammy 165 today. Hooked it up to IF7200 via DVI. Picture on OTA HD is somewhat grainy. But I am seeing sparkies in the picture especially against a dark background when I switch to dvd with dvd player connected to Sammy with Sammy doing the upscaling. Sparkies persist even if I switch back to OTA HD. Only time they go away is when I turn the Sammy off & on again. Am I doing something wrong? Display is HDCP compliant. Never had any problems before with any of the DVI devices connected to IF 7200.

How long is your DVI cable?

DVI cable is 10m. long & never had any problem with other DVI devices which makes me suspect that the transmitter in Samsung might be faulty. This was an open box from Crutchfield. Might have been returned for the same reason.
