Well, I just sent my console (under waranty) in for the display artifacts/overheating GPU issue. I used the free UPS pickup option.

Has anyone else gone through the repair process with Nintendo? Was it painless, & how long did it take? I'm in California.

I did, pretty painless. Took about 1 - 1 1/2 weeks to get it back, IIRC. Actually, they ended up sending me a new console.
Nevermind... it came back yesterday. They swapped out my console as well.
