$150 AUD for just the digital download is a bit steep IMHO, at that price it's a hard pass for me!

The price includes the physical disc too. It's not for everyone, so if it's too much for what you want, then just don't purchase it. No need to try and diminish it. Guys pay more $ for all kinds of things in this hobby.

I'm just glad someone made a disc that can hopefully be helpful. I'll review and post my impressions.

StudioSix Digital has an AppleTV app that does 9.1.6 testing with calibration tones. Costs perhaps $40? Works best with their AudioTools solution but does work well.
That's actually what I've been using. I have an iPad and it can control the ATV4K for the signals and I can plug in the umik-1 to the iPad too.

Edit - it ends up costing more because if I remember correctly the Atmos module for the sound generator is extra, and so are the add-ons to measure sweeps.

Just ran a few of the test clips last night. It's pretty cool. Has a nice visual on screen of where the sound is supposed to be while playing the sound through the atmos speakers. I ran one where it starts out atmos front left and right playing (so centered) with the ball in the middle on screen, then the ball moves to between the front and back atmos speakers on screen as the sound is blending front atmos left with rear atmos left, then moves to back and same onscreen, then between right atmos front and rear, etc. If you like the combo of a visual representation with the sound queues, it's really nice. I haven't run through it all but I can see the potential of using this to improve the atmos setup in my theater.

It's $150 AUD just for the digital download without the disc (I have no disc players any more) , they're definitely allowed to charge whatever they want for it, just as I'm allowed to have an opinion on that pricing. I didn't say the product won't be useful, just overpriced IMHO

Of course. Sounds like an easy pass for you at this point. I'll let you know of my impressions once I test it out.

It was $99 for quite some time now, interestingly, both BD release and digital version are the same price, which I think is a bit strange, for sure pressing BD, packaging etc must cost quite a few dollars. Still, I have no idea what was the cost of producing this, but $99 seems a bit steep.
