I am shopping for a sound card which I will be using for HT.

I will be using it with the Audionet MAP so obviously I will be using the MAP's DD & DTS decoder and thus strictly the digital output of the card.

I have been reading old threads about sound cards and I noticed some posters on this forum are complaining about jitter problems of SPDIF outputs.

Is this the same with AES/EBU outputs?

Would it for example make sense to purchase the extra AES/EBU bracket with the DAL rather than just using the SPDIF?

Thanks

I have the Dal card. On DD and DTS I do not hear any jitter, but then again you might. My equipment is McIntosh and M&K speakers.

If I were you I would try the card without the AES/EBU connection and see if you hear it.
