Oh , do you joke me?
No Joke.

The speaker cable that Arny linked to is the best bang for the buck. it is 12 guage. But if the distance to the speakers is really long, thicker cables (like 10 guage) might be more appropriate. If the distance is short, you could use 14 guage. The Kimber 12TC is 8 guage, but that is overkill unless your cables are very long. The Kimber cables may be "best" for some people from a cosmetic standpoint, but not from an electrical performance standpoint, despite the price.

The link for the XLR cables didn't work for me.

Typing in TECCXX1625 in the search box, upper right on Abes home page, finds the cable.

There is no need to buy any sort of special XLR/balanced cables.

You get perfect sound with ANY balanced cable, because of the balanced geometry and 3rd-wire separate ground.

I make my own using standard AES cable, which costs about a buck a foot, and good-quality Neutrik or Hosa XLRs with gold-plated pins, which run about $4 each.

The kinds of issues that cause unbalanced/RCA cables to be so variable in sound quality simply DO NOT EXIST with balanced cables.

If you do not want to bother making your own get some HOSA XLR/balanced cables from American Musical Supply or Zzounds.

Many pro audio companies refer to them as "Microphone Cables", but don't let that confuse you.

A balanced cable is a balanced cable, whether you use it for an interconnect cable or a microphone cable.

AMS has the HOSA HMIC010 10-foot cable for $10.95 per cable, so you won't go broke there, and they are excellent cables. They have many other lengths also (3, 5, 25 feet etc.).

I use Belden 102-strand 10-gauge wire for my Vandersteen Treo speakers. You can get a 100-foot roll for around $200 or so from Mouser Electronics or Blue Jeans Cable. I terminate with soldered Audioquest gold-plated spade lugs to avoid any oxidation at the connections.

Sorry. I tested the link before posting it and it worked. I just tested it and it was indeed broken.

This seems to work now:

Audioquest cable/cords will be a good match.

Audioquest would be a good match if the object is to pay 1000-100000% markup. If the object is sound quality, no AQ cable outperforms any Monoprice cable (or lamp cord.)

If you want the absolute best performance use what recording and mastering studios use.

The best pro grade XLR cable is Canare L4E6S. This is a 2 pair, braided shield cable. The two blue conductors are twisted together as one conductor and the two whites are twisted together for the second conductor. Cheap balanced cables do have 2 conductors with a shield, BUT the construction makes a world of difference. The cheap cables are simply twisted and the shield is USUALY a spiral wrap that allows a great amount of noise of all kinds into the cable. The Canare cable has two separate twisted pairs that quite effectively cancel out any induced crosstalk, noise, RF incursion, hum etc. The braided shield is extremely dense yet flexible and provides stellar performance. The retail price for Canare L4E6S is around .50 a foot. Mogami and Gepco, Belden and a couple others have copied Canare but they were the first and after buying close to a million feet of this for heavy duty commercial use, I and many others can attest personally to its incredible performance.
