Which one give better performance or lower resistance? or it is basically equal??

11 gauge single cable or

2 cables of smaller gauge (14G) which about 11G paired

so for 1 non-biwire speaker i use 4 cables compared to the 2 cables for the 11G.

Thanks for your answer.

Going from a wire gauge of 14 to a wire gauge of 11 (or any change of 3) is a halving/doubling of resistance. So, 11 gauge is half the resistance of 14 gauge and 17 gauge is twice the resistance of 14. So, two 14 gauge wires will have the same impedance as one 11 gauge wire. And four 14 gauge wires will have the same impedance as one 8 gauge wire.

Thanks Cowclops for your answer. So basically it is equal?

I want to make my own cable and deciding on either a cable with 2 11awg conductors or a cable with 4 14AWG conductors joined (Canare star quad) for non-biwire use and wondering if any of those 2 option have an advantage over each other.
