Here is the floor plan for my basement living room that is a new build so I can run wires in the walls before putting up the drywall.

My front speakers will be placed in a bookshelf type custom cabinet.
My wife doesnt want surround speakers hanging off the walls so I will have in-ceiling speakers for the rear. Is this where you would put them?

Where should I place the subwoofer? I have shown three possible locations that made sense to me, but am open to any other suggestions.

I am going to have 1 subwoofer and need to decide where to put it so I can run the cable in the wall before drywalling.

Any thoughts between locations 1 or 2 for the subwoofer?

Location 1 would have much shorter wiring, but it isnt exactly in a corner like position #2

This is a question I can't answer, subwoofer placement is very dependent on room acoustics, and it's different for every room.

Corner-loading a sub can increase it's output, and keeping it nearfield can improve the impact you feel. I would maybe have a couple locations wired and then you can play around with it, or add a second in the future.
