I'm currently setting up my first home theater and looking for advice on speaker placement. I've read a lot of guides, and understand that typically I want an equilateral triangle between the L R and viewing area, and front speakers should be at ear height.
My question is, in my case I have a 100" drop down screen mounted on the ceiling, which means the bottom of the screen will land ~2.5 - 3ft off the ground. My options are either mount all three LCR below the screen at about the 2.5' mark, or mount the center at that height and the L and R beside the screen closer to ear height, OR, the L and R beside the screen in the middle of the picture, but angled slightly down.
Am I over thinking this or is one way better than the others? Thanks in advance!
