We are looking at getting new speakers. Our problem is that the speakers must be placed 3 to 4 feet above my listening level. Should I aim them down so they point to ear level, or should I just set them up straight into the room? A point to consider is that the front left and right speakers cannot be pointed to ear level and will be firing straigt out into the room. The center and 4 surrounds can be aimed at where we sit.

We are looking at the JBL Northridge series of speakers.

Thanks

The front three speakers should always be aimed at the listening area/the listeners ear. Aiming over the head is just not the optimal configuration.

The rears can be placed higher up on a wall and be positioned however the sound best.
