I had my new JVC I had my new JVC HD-70FN97 delivered yesterday and I am going to rearrange my equipment to place this TV. What I need to know is there any concerns with placing older, unshielded speakers (Klipsch Forte) next to this TV? I know the magnets could damage tube displays.

Just give placement a try--they won't "damage" the display or any display for that matter, it just skews the picture. I doubt unshielded speakers will effect a rear projection.

Unshielded speakers should only interfere with CRT technology sets, not DLP,LCD or LCOS.

As long as I can not damage the TV I see no reason not to give it a try.

I had an 8" bookshelf speaker next to my DLP Proj TV and had no issues with color or distortion. If you can get them wider apart I would go for that though, to get a better L/R difference.
