I currently am running Bose 701 fronts and 301 rears ( no bashing please, they were half price and OK at the time ) and I can't help but feel I am really missing out on something. What is a nice speaker match for the Sony 777ES? I watch movies and listen to music about 50/50 time wise. And I do listen fairly loud on the music end (usually up beat stuff). Thanks in advance for your input.
OK, that sounds logical. 12X15 room, I would like a full surround, and I am currently running an AR300 sub. My center is an infinity CC3 which has adjustments for timbre matching, but if need be, I would replace that as well.
As for the budget..... Well I would probably be willing to shell out up to a couple grand if it was thought that that level of speaker would complement the 777 nicely. But I would probably sleep better spending less http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/wink.gif Thanks
The best speaker I have heard in your price range is the Sonus Faber Concertino, they aren't headbanging, but with a decent sub will sound great on pretty much any kind of music and movie.
You could get them new for fronts and backs for under $2K, or used for about $1400.
Moving down the food chain, many people have got good sounds from B&W 601 and 602.
