This may or may not be a dumb question BUT I have a 5 channel receiver that is 100 watts per channel. I am only using the 2 front speaker channels as well as the subwoofer preout. NOW..if I were to wire the remaining two channels (surround) into both of my front speakers, would it put 200 watts into both my front speakers?? I am still new to this and learning as I go! Any input is welcome!

Thanks.

No, and you could destroy the amplifier because the surround and main amplifier outputs would be shorted together. Whenever the signal is different mong them (i.e. most of the time), the amplifiers will be "fighting" each other and at best wasting power, and at worst the cross-connection would ruin the amplifiers.

Bottom line: don't do it! - Don
