Speakers - $1000 Budget

We just spent an enormous amount of money for a CRT projector. We have a dedicated room for HT. Our current mini-home theater will remain in our living room and consists of the following.

Sub: M&K MX-90

Center: Polk CS350-LS

Front: Bang & Olufsen RL-140

Rear: Minimus-7

Receiver: Yamaha RX-V1070

Less the A/V receiver, we would like quality components which compliment and/or replace existing components for our Home Theater. Anything we pull from the current set-up must be replaced.

An NHT SuperOne + SuperCenter combination looks attractive but I'm sure our M&K is a key component to reuse. I also like the Polk CS350LS for our center. New components may blow these away. Your the pros, what do you recommend?

As for an A/V receiver, the Denon AVR-3300 looks attractive with it's sub-$700 price. We have a close contact for Yamaha B-Stock as well.

Energy's Take 5 surround sound speaker package (5.1) runs for $1k.

Look into PSB's Alpha A/V (200/pr) and NHT Super zeros, ones(not sure on prices).

Another option is to call some local speaker stores and ask them if they sell custom speakers (they make them). If they do, you can get a better speaker for your money.

Hope this helps you. =)
