I think JBL could be a good options for your budget, specially the Studio Seires.


You could choose for

mains and surrounds + Center + Sub

S26 $180 pair = $360 + S center $140 + SVS25-31PCi $550 = $1050 + shipping.


If you cant stretch your budget to $1100, go with the northbrige series.

go ahead and try out the speaker yourself. Internet company provide quality speakers but are mostly unheard of. i think for a lil over 1000 you can get a decent system in Ascend speakers. Look it up, seems to be a good match with the warmness of HK receivers.

to keep costs down, try teh yamaha NS 6490 bookshelves at 50 bucks a pair. buy 3 pairs. and the matching center.

I would definitely look at Rocket ELTs ( www.********** ). You can pick up the whole shebang (2 fronts, 2 rears, 1 center, 1 sub) for $899! It's definitely a steal at this price.
