Greetings Everyone,

Long time lurker, first time poster. I recently purchased a Denon AVR-591, and Polk CS10 center channel speaker. This will be the start of my first home theater setup. My TV is a 46" Bravia Z series. Component wise I have the usual, PS3, HD cable box, and a Wii that I seldom play. My PS3 gets a lot of use with gaming and Blu Ray so I am definitely looking for something to emphasize the sounds from the video games and bring out good audio in the movies.

At this point in time, I'm only looking for the front speakers and a subwoofer. My apartment has an awkward layout making it difficult to mount rears. In fact, the general area where my TV is located is pretty small. I've attached a pic to show what I mean. You can see that my TV is off to the side (so to speak), and seating faces "away" from the tv. The front speakers will sit on either side of the TV on the cabinet.

I've got my eye on the Polk Tsi-100s, and the Monitor series, however I'm not too familiar with the monitor series. Would either one of these be a good fit for the CS10? Definitely want bookshelf size. Is there something that's comparable to the TSi100 both in price and quality?

As for subs...i'm totally lost. I don't really like booming bass, but I do like a full sounding lows. My budget for both the fronts and subs is around $500. I've read on a few separate occasions that Polk generally makes a lackluster sub, so I'm open to suggestions.

Any help is much appreciated. Great site!

Go with Polk Monitor Series II speakers or Polk TSi speakers. TSi series may be the best but monitor series will work and save you money.

Polk Monitor 60's Series II are on sale till 12/6 for 115 per speaker right now here:

But since you want book shelves

Monitor 30's series II are on sale for $90 right now

Personally if you look at the Monitor 40's or TSi 200 look at the Monitor 50's or TSi300 as earlier mention speakers will require stands and take the same floor space as the floorstandings

Then a Bic H100 would be a great subwoofer

Thanks for the suggestions. I've never heard of the Bic sub. Is that a popular choice? I'd like to be able to hear it in person before I make a purchase. I've definitely ran into a lot of deals online, but I know that hearing the setup is going to be the best deal.
