As my projector (when I get it) will have no wall to project against, I must have a free-standing screen. I would like to build/make a screen rather than buy one. My house is in a very old building with wooden beams on the ceiling that come down about 30 cm. I would prefer not drilling into these beams.

Is there some material that is so lightweight it can be hung from adhesive hooks or something similar? I have read about this Parkland, but I don't know what it is and I do know I cannot buy it where I live.

Is there a material that would work? Would it even be possible to have a material that could be rolled up?

My DIY blackout screen is currently hanging from two of those 3M adhesive hooks (you know, the kind that you yank on the adhesive strip to take them off the wall?)

With a lightweight frame, the weight isn't much more than a painting.

And mine is fir framed - I'd bet you can do a lot better with screen door framing or something like it.

Thanks for your reply, Nodecam. Could you please tell me what kind of material for the screen? Thanks.
