Hi all, I've been doing a whole lot of reading and I think I understand what is needed to use my HDTV as a monitor at a reasonable resolution, I wanted however to see if anyone would comment on specific hardware.

My TV is a Sony KP-43HT20 which is a 43" 4x3 format HDTV, it has Y/Pr/Pb style connectors.

I am planning on buying an Audio Authority 9A60 to convert the VGA to HD but don't have anything special as graphics cards go. Should I be able to get a reasonable picture from a fairly basic card (NVidia Riva TNT2) or should I also be looking to buy a better card?

Once I get it all wired up will it be a good stable image? The picture from the TV Out at 640 x 480 is so bad it's unusable. My aim is to be able to use the TV to surf the net in commercial breaks and maybe also to view PC based movies.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Chris.
