Specs and stuff to look for

570 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  Dueling_Cartmans
I am looking to get a new HDTV. I haven't decided on witch kind yet

I want at least a 60in. I have the room for a RPTV.

I sit 15 feet way, in a pretty dark room. I don't want to have to put a back light up

I play a lot of PC games and Xbox. So plasmas burn in has made me nervous.

So do all the specs I have been reading about apply to all types of TVs?

120 Hz refresh rate.

Bit processing. The highest I have seen is 18 bit in think.

Of course 1080p and contrast ratio.

Is there any other spec's that make a TV the best

Then when buying one.. other stuff to consider?

Memory for each in put

The ability to adjust all the colors like blacks, grays and the three main colors

Any thing else I should be thinking about

thanks

For your situation - dark room, seating distance, and desire for a really big screen - why not consider a front projector?

There is a forum here just for that http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forum...sprune=30&f=68

Best wishes.
