I searched, but didn't have much luck, as most post were in regards to surround sound systems or maybe I just didn't search for the right phrase. My problem is that when I play video (majority of which streaming with netflix or through tversity) the speech volume is always hard to hear when I adjust the volume for other sounds and I'm constantly having to adjust the volume up and down.

I don't have a sound system and only have the standard speakers on my TVs ( I have a PS3 on both an Olivia LCD TV and on a standard CRT TV) and have the same volume issue on both sets. LCD TV is connected through HDMI and the CRT is component.

I'm not an audio enthusiast and am not up on all the different settings that are available, so can someone suggest/explain the correct settings to use for each set or direct me to a solution?
