Review or no review...i was buying this. I haven't been dissapointed with a SC yet. They have earned my loyalty.
I Played al SC releases its just a shame that graphicly its a bit of a letdown. It looks like SC-PT only upscaled.

what are you basing this on? i would be pretty shocked if the graphics weren't up to next gen standards considering the game is done by the same group who did GRAW and who are making Rainbow Six Vegas (both of which look very much next gen)
all of the movies i've seen look pretty decent, but it has that "stuttery" look to it, like it may be running at less than 30fps. i'm not sure if any of you have played Just Cause yet, but the graphics are very impressive and it runs extremely smooth all the time: my point is it's possible to have both.

all of the SC games for the xbox had that same kind of jittery look to it. great graphics for the system, just a little choppier than it should have been. it looks as if this might have carried over to the 360. it's very subltle, and i'm being very critical.

i'll buy it anyway :)

p.s. i watch a ton of game movies at www.gametrailers.com - check it out if you've never been.
true the framerate isn't great and I'd wish for higher.. But I still want it.
it looks great from what i've seen
don't have a clue what your talking about...never had one frame rate issue on the xbox versions of SC.
None of the Splinter Cell games for the original Xbox ran at 60fps ("buttery smooth goodness"), and I'm sure they dipped below 30fps at times, but they managed consistent frame rates without getting choppy. Chaos Theory in action from start to finish... was just amazing.

Visuals aside, the franchise has been one of my favorites for a long time because of the stealth and Fisher's mastery of the darkness. I'm excited to see it take a new direction, but I'm also a little apprehensive about the double agent angle, 'cuz I always liked popping light sources and snapping the necks of unsuspecting mofos.
really looking forward to this game. It is on my must play list.

IGN says Ubisoft Paris did GRAW, Ubisoft Montreal is doing Rainbow Six Vegas, and Ubisoft Shanghai is doing the single player of Splinter Cell Double Agent. All three games are from different groups. Also, Double Agent is the only one of the three that started out development as a current gen game.
