A few years ago I bought a nice 106" screen with a grey reflective surface. While it did help with contrast and my projector, the lack of true white drove me crazy. So I ended up swapping in a regular matte white screen and storing the grey one.

Now I might need to use the grey one. Do you think I could carefully spray paint the white screen with some bright white paint, let it dry for a day before rolling up?

Additionally, another thing that bugged me about the grey screen is it had a limited viewing angle. You pretty much had to be in the center to get a full brightness picture.
