The following poll is designed to get some overall picture of the level of customer satisfaction with pay television services in the St. Louis area.

Because of the limited number of choices (and as it is there already may be too many choices), it isn't possible to distinguish between Charter, DirecTV and DISH, so the breakdown is cable v. satellite.

I don't know which box fits. I was a satellite customer until my receiver (1st generation RCA) quit. I also had cable, but it was for Internet access (too far away for DSL). I've upgraded cable for TV programming as a stopgap until the choice between D and E becomes clearer. Neither cable nor my 1st gen satellite box provided HDTV and therefore were both unsatisfactory. All of the locals are at least OTA digital and on their way to becoming fully HDTV.

Yeah. I noticed that in the main thread.

I'll give charter thumbs up on pipeline though. It's been much more reliable than the dial-up I had with SBC. I'll be keeping pipeline even if I switch back to satellite for TV.
