Stacking components

Dumb questions, but what do you guys use to stack components on top of each other while also allowing proper airflow and ventilation?

Do you use spacers? What kind? Use pads, etc.?

Pieces of wood or hockey pucks. Can paint the wood and/or add black felt to cover it. I've also used big rubber stoppers but those are hard to find anymore (I had a supply ordered from a lab supply company many years ago).

Perhaps something like this?

Yup! Amazon rules All now...

Nice, something local.

Wondering if there's something metal. Like stainless steel disc, but thick.
Doubt it from Lowes.

Maybe you want to try 4 sets of these.

Black ABS plumbing pipe, cut to the desired height with a miter (or what have you) saw.

There are two tube mills at my plant. We scrap/recycle thousands of feet of this kinda stuff everyday.
I use stacks of empty Tic Tac boxes taped together as blocks. [They are free because I eat Tic Tacs and you can easily vary the height by how many you use.]

I guess big Lego's would work too.

Oddly enough, black wooden checkers. About half an inch thick, approximately 1.25" in diameter. I used a felt layer on both sides of each piece. The increase in separation of the components allows for better air circulation. *the pieces are in addition to the stock feet.
Metal risers may scratch and vibrate (buzz and/or move). You could glue cloth/felt or rubber/plastic on the top and bottom.
I found some cheap candle holders made out stone (probably Quartz):
