I still watch a lot of standard def tv shows and standard dvd's (upconverted via an HD-A3)

Do one of these TV's better handle 480i better than the other 2:

Panasonic TH-50PZ77U

XBR KDL-46XBR4

Bravia KDL-46W3000

in general are Plasma or LCD's better for standard def?

Thanks

IMO Sony handles SD better than most panels. My Sharp does HD very well for a 57", better than the Panny plasma I owned briefly and so does my 23" kitchen Sony LCD. Not a fan of plasma so I'll admit the bias upfront but this is an LCD thread. If you ask a PDP fan they answer your question one way and if you ask an LCD fan it'll be the opposite in most cases. My experience is I've owned both and the PDP is gone and I now have four LCD's.

480i is Turdvision and I watch it as little as possible but mine isn't all that bad and I don't care if you spend $5K on a VP it can only marginally improve SD while some digital SD is quite good. Buy the panel with return rights if your not satisfied since you can rarely test that factor in the store.
