I was having trouble with my HD100 where all the even transponders were dead. It turns out that I had to set the dish or antenna to WIDEBAND instead of STANDARD. Anyone know what's the difference?

My setup is kinda funky because the dish is shared among the whole townhouse complex and distributed to each unit.

I believe that in shared facilities like condo/apt houses, they place the opposite polarization in a different frequency band so that only one cable can be used for two polarizations. This may explain the "wideband" nomenclature, the additional frequency band would require twice the bandwidth.
