Anyone have problems with Disc 2? First episode played but other two will not get past the menu. SD side played flawlessly. Using the XA-1. I have not tried the D3 to see if it plays on it. Disc 4 played with no problems unlike some that posted in another thread.

I'm having the exact same problem.

It's probably the dreaded combo problem. I haven't tested all 10 of the Star Trek discs yet, but I had no trouble with disc 2 in my A3.


Any combo is prone to this type of issue. My copy of Dead Silence has a dead spot that just won't play, but skipping to the next chapter (if I catch it early enough) resumes normal play. I've also had trouble with a non-combo disc as well (Unleashed). The only thing you can do is try another player and/or attempt to get a replacement disc.

I had a problem with disc 2 on my A35 1.3 FW. It played fine on my XA2 2.7 FW and my XA1 3.0 FW.


Try washing the disc. Some combo discs work better when they are cleaned.
