I think I almost would have preferred one of Saru's bad choices for catchphrase.

Starfleet is a military style organization. Why can't there just be a standard command for taking the ship in a certain direction at a certain speed. Since I only sporadically watched TOS as a small child, I always assumed Picard's command was the Starfleet standard: "Lieutenant, plot in a course for the Terrelli system. Warp 3. Engage." Why complicate it with silly signature expressions?
