I believe this film was the only Trek movie shot in Super 35, directors preference used to be a 2:1 ratio thus opening the frame slightly but not losing any information at the sides.

The HBO/Cinemax version is 2:1 or so, same as the DVD I believe. It's a stunning transfer - very sharp.
Looking Forward to It I have my DVR all set and ready.

Yes, thanks for the heads-up. It'll be nice to add 'IV' to my D-VHS collection. I got two other even-numbered 'Trek' movies, 'II' & 'VI', off HBO as well I believe.
Update: My bad. Thought they were showing 'IV', but looks like they're showing 'VI' this month & 'III' in June.

I have it. Its a great transfer OAR 2.0:1 but too bad its DD2.0
