Anybody else playing this? Redbox sent me a free game rental code that expires today, so I decided to take a shot at Star Trek.
I think I've played worse games. Those names escape me now. Unfortunately, "Star Trek" will never be forgotten due to the name.
If I have to pick the most annoying thing, it's the requirement to use the tricorder CONSTANTLY so anything that's supposed to be found is findable. I started out just poking around looking for stuff, and got through the opening mission OK. When I was beamed down to the first planet and noticed I got XP for scanning flowers, I checked the log of scanned things and saw that I had missed everything that was to be found in the opening mission. So I started over, and STILL missed two things. Another game where the locations for stuff is important to have handy.
I'll stumble through it until it needs to be returned, but I don't see this as a 'buy'. The acting is stiff, Kirk isn't very agile, and if there's real fun to be had it's still to be found. Not sure even the tricorder will locate it...
