I bought my starmate 2 years ago and within the last month it has been acting up. The sound gets louder and has more static. I adjust the cables and that fixes for a few minutes, but then starts up again. I know have to hold it on my lap and press hard on one of the starmate buttons in order to keep the signal clear.
This doesn't seem to be a connection issue, but rather an issue with the starmate. Has anyone else had this problem? I really don't want to have to buy a whole new radio....
