I am interested in playing movies from starzticket.com. These movies are Secure RealMedia files (.rms) that are played with realplayer and I can only play them in stereo on my HTPC. I have an AC3 filter that works great for wmvhd file and plays 5.1 sound. I was told that the realplayer only plays stereo. I installed K-Lite Codec that includes Real Alternative that is suppose to split the audio from the video and allows you to use a AC3 filter to produce 5.1 sound. But Real Alternative (Real Media Classic) will not play the files with a .rms extension. I assume that is because the files have DRM. Realplayer will eventually (someday) have an upgrade to decode 5.1.

Has anyone been able to play Starz movies in 5.1?

Are theses movies only in stereo?

Has anyone been able to strip the DRM from the files so they can be played in Real Alternative?

PS - I can play movies from Movielink and Cinemanow in 5.1 using wmv.

(I was surprised by the video quality of these movies.)
