I have recently bought my first HDTV-ready set -- a Panasonic PT-50LC13 -- and do not have a HDTV receiver yet.
I am planning to get a receiver that has ATSC and QAM coax inputs; possibly the LG LST-3100A. I have a Silver Sensor antenna and Cox digital cable. I plan to hook up the antenna into ANT IN and the Cox cable into CABLE IN (direct, not through the Cox box). I plan on using DVI from the HDTV STB to the monitor. The cable box will continue to be input on the Coax In input so I can switch between it and the HDTV STB input.
What can I expect to see from the HDTV receiver? I assume any HDTV channels will only come from the antenna and only non-scrambled analog channels will come through the cable -- similar to what I see if I input the cable directly into the set.
Will the cable channels be up-converted? From 480i to 480p?
How will a menu work? Will I have to switch between the analog cable menu and one for the ATSC channels?
