STB required for Enhanced TV?

I'd heard that some Fox NASCAR telecasts are widescreen 480p format. Even though this isn't considered hD telecasts is an HD tuner or STB required to receive the enhanced TV signal.:confused:

Yes. Enhanced definition is digital television (though not HD). You need an STB or a builit-in digital tuner to receive it.
