As a manufacturer, I'm not allowed to diss other product. But gold is not a very good conductor. And gold-silver alloy is not the best micro-junctured crystalline sturcture out there. Not by a long shot. Could be terrible, in fact.
However, in their favor, I haven't tried it, so who am I to speak.
It could have a very 'gritty' sound which could be misuderstood to be high frequency information, when all it is, is micro distorion, ie, diode like junctures making their presence known. A steely American cable anyone?
Winding, conductor dia. , dielectric type, and mechanical damping design is VERY critical in audio bandwith cables. It is easily half the sound of a cable, if not 75% or more, depending on design.
This comes from long years of working at trying to fully understand transmission line theory and winding my own cables for about 20 years in every possible configuration known to mankind.
So crap conductor materials can sound better than silver, if properly put together.
Like I said... who knows?
