I'm looking for a good stereo reciever or amp to push my computer audio through a pair of CV VE-15's. I would prefer to use TOSLINK optical, but can settle for analog connection from the PC. I'm trying to stay under the $500 mark if possible. The two units I'm considering right now are the HK 3490 and the CV1800, and I have seen advantages and disadvantages for both. If anyone has any advice or experience concerning either of these units or has alternate suggestion, please share. My ideal would be an amp with the power of the CV1800 and an onboard DAC for optical in.
