Stereo Receivers

ok, im sittin here, wishing i could have the money some of you guys on here have, but i dont. so im looking for a nice used Stereo Receiver. NAD/ or the like thats an older type of receiver but not that expensive. under $100. used preferably. will be currently put up with my Vifa 6.5's (not the pl's though) and NorthCreek Music D-25 tweeters in a custom .75 cu. ft ported box. i need new x-overs for them, but thats cuz they were originally designed for in car use.

This receiver will hopefully last me 2+ years until i get out of college and have money for a true surround receiver, but in that process i will probably upgrade speakers, right now im looking at some new designs from Adire Audio utilizing i believe their new Extremis mids and a custom x-over design and box design, but i digress.

so what would you recommend for a nice stereo receiver.

FYI: STEREO AKA TWO CHANNELS.

used on audio gone dot com is your best bet.

try onecall.com they sometimes have decent onkyo stereo receivers on sale.
Check out this Sherwood stereo receiver (RX4103) for $89 at CircuitCity.com

• 105 watts per channel • Three audio inputs

Looks like it does not have a phono input and uses the cheaper spring clip speak connectors.

I haven't heard it myself, so buyer beware. It does meet your stated needs (Stereo & less than $100)
one of the things i have always heard when looking at stereo receivers however is that the older stereo receivers are of better quality and have nicer options etc. this is why i am loking for usaed reccomendations and some of the older equipment is able to be found fairly inexpensive now.

thanks
