I have a few different sony cameras. MiniDV and Solid State cameres. These cameras go in and out of A/Ced rooms into very hot and humid conditions. All the cameras experience fog issues on and in the lens. The MiniDV cameras also experience moisture lock. Both problems are resolved by storing the cameras in a heating pad prior to taking them back outside. Is the heating pad enough heat to damage the camera or help wear out the components quicker. Storing batteries from a lot of different devices I have had in the heat (of the garage) has dramatically shorten the batteries charge between uses.
