Hello gents,
OK, let's start. I'm having this issue going on for couple of years and finally decided to post it here because I'm really out of clues. Over the years, this happened with different mobo, video, ram etc....
When the computer wakes-up from S3, strange things happening randomly, here they are:
- Windows sound service is stopped.
- The taskbar switched to a Windows 2000 style
- IR remote control partially working, VOLUME (volume slider not working) & BACK keys not working. Maybe some other keys are not working too.
- No access to internet but access to personal network.
My last system has been working flawlessly for the last six month and this happened all of a sudden.
The only common things across the systems I had with this problem are:
- Realtek sound Chipset
- XP Media Center 2005
- IR Remote.
Something I'm also suspecting is my power supply kind of low on the 5 volts VSB.
My system is well maintained, no software added to Media Center.
I could have listed all the hardware but I've changed so many parts over the years and the problem still persists, something else I don't master must go wrong.
I thank everyone.
Charles
