I've had a Sony STRDA777ES for the past 15 years driving PSB speakers (2 tower, a center and 2 bookshelves). This week while watching TV the sound just stopped. The receiver doesn't appear to be able to detect analog or digital inputs (it used to auto detect audio format and display type on screen), or output any sound to either the speakers or the headphone jack. Menus work otherwise.
1) Is it dead or is there a chance of repair?
2) What would be a cost effective replacement? I know the value of the system I current have is high (for the era), however I got it for a bargain back then (closing sale) and don't have the desire to put a lot of resources in to a new unit.

After 15 years, I'd say it's time for a change... Sony normally does not stock parts or repair manuals for models >10 years old. So getting it repaired may be a tough job.
