Streaming at 25P vs 50P on a 25FPS feed - any difference?

I have been watching some British 25 FPS videos on Amazon. With Frame Rate Match "on" on both units, I noticed that my Apple TV 4K outputs them at 50P whereas my Fire TV Stick 4K outputs them at 25P.

I assume that since 25P is an integer multiple of 50P, a 25 frames-per-second video at 25P and 50P would be the same presentation - e.g. the 50P output would just do each frame twice (a sequence of 2:2:2:2...etc.) to produce same output as each frame once (1:1:1:1...etc.) at 25P or some other similar mechanism that makes them exactly equivalent.

Or is there a difference?
