Hey everyone, wandering if any one could help.

my present setup i use my laptop with 1, 4 TB box to stream movies and tv shows via plex media server to my ps3 i am happy with my laptop & plex media server. Its just the ps3 it seems like i always find a format that it does'nt support first it was mkv's sorted that out and now its full 1080p movies with 5 frames i have everything wired on a gigabyte network so i can play full hd my question would be what else can i use instead of the ps3 like maybe a blu ray player, or even the roku 3 just don't want to buy something and have more trouble every format i have is mostly AVI, MP4.MKV, so it needs to support all them. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

PS if possible would like something with a nice UI for cover art & a good search function.

Companies like Dune and Popcorn Hour make some very popular and very versatile media players that fit what you are looking for. There are several threads on players from these companies in the "Networking, Media Servers, and Content Streaming" forum here on AVS as well.
