Yes yes yes. I've had it since day 1 and love it. Best stick I've ever used (if you like the ball top instead of the bat). A steal for $80. The only regret I have is that I didn't wait for the MvC2 edition

which edition is that? should i try to bargain the guy with the price? i read that the new tournament edition S edition is going to come out soon..

The MvC2 stick is the same as the one you're looking at but it has MvC2 artwork instead of SFIV art. Those are $100 at Gamestop right now, and the one you're looking at was on sale last week for $80.

it was on sale for $80 BRAND NEW in gamestop?

I doubt that was the Tournament Edition.

This MadCatz stick comes in two versions, one with consumer level buttons and stick at a lower price point and a more expensive premium model using arcade quality buttons and stick.

actually it was, it was just the original version that has the original SF4 graphic and white sides, opposed to the newer version, with the newer SF4 graphic and all black. once the newer version came out, the price of the original version dropped, and i remember actually being an Amazon Gold Box item around X-Mas time for $75...

original version

newer version

MvsC version

Femme Fatale version

Comic-Con version

they're all the same thing, with different graphics...

The round one's were selling on ebay for $400 when they first came out because the were sold out and only had a limited shipment when they were released, so consider $80 a steal. I preordered mine for $150 at Gamestop and got it a few days before Street Fighter 4 was released. My GS only got 2 sticks in. Fry's Electronics had these for PS3 and Xbox 360 for $99.99 brand new if you have a store near you. Also Gamestop has the Marvel vs Capcom one for $99.99 at Gamestop for both systems brand new.

but i dont get it, if its brand new for 100 at gamestop, why should i pay the guy from craigslist $80? ill be saving only 20 bucks.. ? and which graphic has the most value as a limited edition fight stick?

Well don't pay him $80. It sounds like the usual case of a craiglist poster not checking what the latest new price is and just going by what he paid for it. Don't buy it or respond to the guy and offer $60 or $70. Nobody said you have to buy it from craigslist.

Well, if it's legitimately only $100 from gamespot, then jump on that ASAP imo. However, you do need to find a store w/ stock which i don't think is a simple task.

I have this stick (the original release) and it 100% lives up to expectations.

Haha I am well aware of the differences in sticks (and companies for that matter). See this post for what I was talking about. Great deal while it lasted.

But I'd still buy the MvC2 one for the art

the Comic-Con one has the most value, since there were only 500 made, but you're not going to find them anywhere near retail if you actually do find one at all...

- Even then, they don't typically sell for that much. I see used ones in almost new condition for around $200-$250. Not exactly a great investment.

Amazon had this stick on sale a few months back, and I think it was in the $80 range (brand new). The real question is if you can find it for $80 now. I think that the price is fair if it is hardly used, but not a steal by any means.

PS I just checked my invoices on Amazon, I bought the TE SF IV Stick during Black Friday sale on Amazon for $89.99 (free shipping no taxes). $80 is probably a good price.
