Anyone know a guide how to make a stripped version of windows 98 se to use in a HTPC system? I want it small and fast booting.

I think it works great... Tried it for the webpads and if I had not moved to XP on my HTPC I would be tempted to put it there too...

I have it installed on a hacked Iopener....very fast and stable.

No, it's just win9x/me that are terrible operating systems. Why not give NT4 a try, will play MP3's, DVD's and suchlike fine... Dead stable, and the non-server version only requires at least 8mb RAM. Though for any kind of modern games you'll need Win2K or better usually.
