Using a new E86 in Santa Clara (SF Bay area). Signal strength measures 75% to 100% of several Sutro area stations when I measure them individually, but Scan does not pick them up. When I try to select them manually, I get the message "Channel XX-Y not available." What's wrong here?

I have a Radio Shack UHF antenna that appears to be giving adequate signal.

Would appreciate a list of channels that "work" from someone in this area too.

Go to the setup screens. Remove your zip code, then put it back in. Reboot. If you have a new E-86 and have it connected to a dish, it got a software update that wrecks the local channels. It's a known issue and the zip code trick is the workaround.

I did notice other threads that mention a firmware update that I do not have. Went to "Upgrade" and selected it, but looks like I don't get it until 1:00am tomorrow. I assume that's the update you are referring to. Thanks for the help.

That was it! Looks like the installer never set up the ZIP code at all. Put it in, and I appear to be getting everything Sutro has to offer.

THANK YOU.
