Just researching the reliability of competing technologies: DLP, LCOS, and LCD. Which are worse about dead pixels?

ARGH!! I forgot the option for "no dead pixels!"

Perhaps that will end up in the other category.... (sigh)

From a service side ,this is an easy question. LCOS/DILA and LCD have an equally bad record as far as pixels problems go. The difference being that because of the way LCOS is made, they tend to more of a "shining star" pixel than LCD machines. Because DLP's ony use a one chip system, they obviously don't suffer near the quantity of problems.

I have a 10HT with zero dead pixels - had it checked before I bought it.

No dead pixels, no problems of any kind other than a few dust blobs easily gotten rid of in 15 minutes. Boxlight 38T (Sanyo XP21N clone).

You need a "No stuck pixels" option for every technology too of you want the poll to show what percentage of LCD-owners have problems, and what percentage of DLP-owners have problems and so forth.

You don't know how many don't have problems with the poll the way it is now.

I have 1 stuck pixel on my LCD, btw.

You may want to ask an administrator to change the poll to include the no dead pixel option and re-set the poll to allow you to vote again.

I have an 11HT with no dead pixels btw.
