The progam stutters and hesitates during any type of replay. I've heard this could mean the hard disk is failing. Any way to confirm this? Any other possibilities?

I'd like to keep this Showstopper for a second machine if it makes $ sense.

I had this happening on a 30hr Showstopper. I finally did a reset to factory settings (777 zones) and the problem went away. It's only been a couple of weeks but so far so good.

I had the same problem with my 3060.


At first it happened only when watching a recorded show while recording another in high quality mode.


Then it graduated on to skipping regularly regardless of what I was doing.


I tried reset (777zones) but it did not work for me.


Finally, I used the upgrade procedure supplied on this forum to replace the drive with a 120gb WD. Now it's working flawlessly.
