So, if my HK 635 has full spectrum EQ/room correction, why would I want a sub with similar features as long as the two are paired together?

Considered subs include:

SVS PB-12 Ultra, SVS PC-Ultra, Rocket UFW-12, Velodyne SPL-1200R, Hsu VTF-3 MkII, and Paradigm's Servo 15.

Should I save my money on the EQ'd ones, and put it toward a larger sealed servo, or ported sub with less bells and whistles? My room is closed 14'x14'x8' with traps

Thanks ya'll!

I have a 635, and while it helps the bass a lot, it's apparent it's not finishing the job. Others have measured and found the same.

I'll add a BFD or maybe switch to a Denon w/MultEQ.

Any links to the other's findings? If the EQ is less of a big deal, I might be better off w/ one of the Ultras or even a couple of Hsu's...

Sorry, no; it was in one (or more) of the 635 threads in the Receivers forum.

OK. Thanks. I'll look there.
