I just purchased a set of Paradigm Reference Studio speakers: 60s, CC450, ADP450.

I haven't hooked them up yet. My home theater isn't finished. But the Studio 60 seem pretty big. My home theater area is 16' wide and 20' deep. I said 'area' because it is located at the end of my basement which is 45' long.

The question I have is do I need a subwoofer? I know it is probably preferable. Can anyone suggest a sub that would match my Paradigms?

Thanks for the help.

Yup - if you want to stick with Paradigm, the new Servo 15v2 is a wonderful animal. If $$$ is no option, the Signature Servo is an amazing sub - but for about a grand less, you can't go wrong with the Servo 15v2.

Or you could save some cash and look for a used Servo 15v1. Your local Paradigm dealer no doubt will have some Servo 15v1 owners who are looking to step into v2 - they might be able to turn you on to a v1 owner who's looking to move up.

Thanks for the responses. I think the Paradigm subs are a little on the pricey side for me right now. I've read good things about Velodyne and SVS.

Any comments on these?
