Depends on your room and what you are looking for.


If you want accurate bass, go with the middle placement (actually somewhere off center, like 4/7ths).


If you want the most sheer output and you don't mind humpy, boomy bass, use the corner.

I guess I'll keep it in the corner, always sounded great there to me.

Rule of thumb that my shop always follows


Steps:

1. Place the sub in the direct sitting position that you'll be watching the movies.

2. Play a CD that has a nice Bass sound to it, something constant..

3. walk around the perimeter of the room, find where the bass is the cleanest and loudest

4. Put the Sub there and put your couch back where it belongs


If you want to get really technical, take a sound meter around the perimeter with you, so you can accuratly see the volume levels kicking out.


We've been doing this with all of our installs for years, and it really works quite well.
